FDT-Perimetry - Modern field of vision examinations
The measurement of the visual field is also called perimetry
and is an important diagnostic aid - not only for glaucoma but also for many
other diseases. The performed FDT-perimetry uses an optical illusion in
order to examine particularly retinal cells during a short examination time,
which are affected in early stages of glaucoma according to the latest
findings.
An accurate investigation of each eye is carried out in about one minute.
The extremely short examination time reduces the stress, particularly for older
and poorly sighted patients, compared to traditional visual field examinations.
