GDX - The measurement of nerve fiber thickness

Principally you do not feel the glaucoma in itself over the years - neither with headaches, eye pains or because of reduced vision. Therefore an accurate assessment of the nerve fiber layer at the posterior end of the eye is important for an effective early detection.

The investigation carried out by our practice does not take a lot of time and is completely painless, glare-free and without annoying consequences by using the GDX Nerve fiber analyzer. Changes of thickness of the nerve fiber layer by glaucoma can be identified in an early stage by regular check ups.
