Ensure a good vision for your childrens future

In addition to indispensable tests of visual acuity, squint and spatial vision, as it is carried out in our visual training, a retinal examination of children is absolutely recommended.

So far, we had to dilate the pupils of the young patients with eye drops and children were not always delighted. The retinal examination is just as comprehensive as the child is able to follow my instrucctions. Especially for children, even the fear of pupil dilation (mydriasis) leads to early abort of many retinal examinations or to unsufficient results of examinations.

By investigation with the ultra-modern specialised equipment, the optomap - 200C, an excellent examination of the retina is possible without using eye drops.  Even an investigation of infants is possible.

The history of the Optomap 200 c starts with a personal fate:
The engineer Douglas Anderson founded the company in 1992 in Dunfermline in Scotland after his, in those times, five year old son went blind in one eye. Despite regular controls a retinal detachment was not diagnosed in time.

The result of his research is the Optomap, a laser-based method enableing the presentation of more than 80 percent of the posterior eye area at an angle of up to 200 degrees on a single digital image. Furthermore patients do not have to endure the dilation of the pupils. Use this technology to make possible the quick and pleasant eye examination for your child.
